Ian MacKenzie
Bruce Mines, Ontario, Canada
Ian MacKenzieIan MacKenzie has run the U.P. 200 seven times and the Midnight Run 3 times - he is one of the favorite competitors and a real crowd pleaser due to his many stories. This year, Ian was asked for his most memorable mushing experience. He answered "I took my mother's table placemats and wrapped them around leather collars, tied two ropes and had two big trapline dogs pull me down the lake...until one dog chewed up one of the skiis I was using. I had to get a sled from a chum's girlfriend. Drove by her house until her husband went to work and paid $100 for a sled." Ian will be bringing along dogs Moose, Tiny and Aldo. Ian's medical conditions that all should be aware of are: fear of deer, fear of cold, fear of no food, fear of no diesel, fear of no money, fear of no hair, fear of wash water, fear of cats and fear of authority figures.
