Matt Weik
Outing, MN, USA
Matt WeikMatt Weik's (pronounced Wyke) resume includes the Iditarod, multiple UP200's, multiple Can Am 250's, multiple Wyoming Stage Stop Races, the Grand Portage Passage, Solon Springs, and the Tahquamenon. On Jan 7th, Matt came in second place in the 12 dog pro division of the Tahquamenon Country Sled Dog Races. He writes "We are excited that the start remains in downtown and looking forward to seeing everyone. Not sure who my leaders will be at this point, but I am running a young team with a few veterans." Matt's handlers include his wife Sara, son Josey and friend Dennis. I want to make special mention here that Sara Weik is a musher, and nine year old Josey took first place in the four dog junior division of the Tahquamenon Race this year. Young Mr. Josey may be an up and comer for future years - we fondly welcome back the Weiks to the U.P. 200.
