Tom is 40 years old, and has been running dogs for 12 years. Tom writes: "I run dogs for challenge, fun, and adventure. I've raced in Maine, Montana, Minn., Michigan and finished the Yukon Quest twice. My kennel has 22 dogs in Babbit Minnesota. I work as a carpenter when Im not on the back of a dog sled. I'm grooming a group of young dogs for the future, so I hope to finish the U.P. 200 with healthy dogs. My sponsers are family and friends." We are delighted to welcome this Yukon Quest veteran to the U.P. 200 in 2005.
Tom's number 1 priority is always the health and happiness of his dogs. He is running the UP for experience with this young team and also for the excitement and the adventure. His goal is for the team to finish healthy and happy.
