Dawn Breedlove
Elton, WI, USA
Dawn BreedloveDawn Breedlove has been mushing dogs since 1990. She began by ski-joiring in the Teton Mountains in WY, and it mushroomed into sledding. Dawn raced for 10 years out west, improving her team along the way with purchases from Jeff Kings' Stage Stop team. Her racing resume includes geography from the mid-west to the west, and include such races as the Beargrease, Hinckley MN, and many more. She has Consistantly placed in the money, with most of her efforts resulting in placements within the top 5. Dawn has won in some sprint races, but prefers the distance. In between races, Dawn has given sleddog tours from a ski-resort out in WY. Dawn writes "Someday I hope to run the Ididarod.I own a small Kennel of around 20 dogs, most are from Jeff Kings' bloodlines, with outcrossing to Saunderson, Streeper, and Perino. After living out west in the mountains, I moved back to my home state in 2001 and built a log home in the Crocker hills with trail access just East of Antigo WI. I offer it as a bed and breakfast for mushers who wish to run in wooded hilly trails." Dawn believes her team is strong and fast. They have not competed in a race as long as the UP200 so this will be a great experience for them.
